Re: Renault Clio - 1.2 16v Misfire Information

Really easy to change the coil pack.

Always advisable to disconnect the battery. Disconnect the negative (black) and tuck it well out the way.

You'll find the coil pack bolted down by 3 (i think) torn (star shape) bolts.

Removed the leads from the plug and attempt to take note of the order of the spark plugs in relation to the coil pack. (My new one was numbered so it was nice and easy to do)

With the coil pack unbolted, it simply lifts off, its easier to remove the plug once its unbolted as there is a small locking-tab to remove.

Refitting is simply the reversal, but remember to get the leads in the correct order. If your new leads are numbered, remember the '1' is the most right hand side when you have your head under the bonnet.

To be honest, the a decent coil pack will have different length leads, so you can't go too far wrong.

Hope this helps
