That's with the whole caliper off the caliper bracket.

With new pads in I can push one end onto the disk but the other end is so squint that the caliper body hits the disk.

The part of the caliper that the outer pad fits into is out of line with the rest of the caliper.

One of the two long 13mm bolts with rubber boots is sticking out half an inch, and the other about one inch.
If I try slackening both of those bolts it makes no difference.

I'm going to buy an allen key socket and try slackening the large allen bolts.
If I get the caliper on with new pads is there a way of then lining it all up so that it is spot on?
Have you checked the caliper holding bracket is paralel to the dusc - if so then I suspect the caliper sliding pins are either bent or worn.
