Re: Megane 1 brake caliper out of line with disk
It turned out one of the pins was seized.
I loosened it, took out both pins and cleaned and greased them.
I've always changed the pads by taking the whole caliper off, but I will now do it the easier way by taking out the two (short, not long as I thought) 13mm bolts.
The middle part of the caliper lifts out and you have easy access to the pads and pins.
As lancs dave just said, I realised the two large allen bolts only hold the whole caliper body together, so there was no need to take them out.
I've also just realised that I did what lancs Dave suggested, but I did it a couple of hours ago before he posted his reply.
