Does the Clio have body paint drain plugs?

My (2001) Clio has a leak and each footwell is currently 5 inches deep in water.

Was trying to work out the best way to get the water out and a friend said that there's likely to be body drain plugs under the carpet somewhere. Apparently these are holes that allow excess paint to drain away before they're sealed with rubber plugs.

Has anyone come across these mythical things before? Can't find any mention in the Haynes and Googling has failed me. Would be good to know if they exist before I go on a wild goose chase!
