I had the same problem with my 2003 Dynamique Billabong. Lost all drive, car revved itself at 2000 revs & trickled down the road, warning lights for
and emissions etc.
RAC man did a faults check, said it was receiving signals beyond the upper & lower limits from the throttle.
To cut a long story short, had the
replaced after being told it was faulty (it was not...) and problem still there. Then a Renault specialist advised replacing
& engine wiring loom. Problem solved.
Sounds like it was the wiring loom after reading this thread, but also could have been
if they get very dirty.
Expensive problem, though the chumps who told me to replace the
will be paying for most of it!
Hope everyone gets it sorted, pain in the behind. Do some research as I'm sure most garages make their best guess.
