Help needed removing driveshaft from master/movano

Ok had a badly ripped outer cv boot on the near side of the van which is a 1999/2000 movano 2.5. The shock had also disintergrated on the bottom bush. So after spending an hour and a half trying to remove the lug from the lower arm that was meant to be attached to the shock i started on the cv boot.

Hub nut undone and lower ball joint released can't get the track rod end to pop at the moment but also can't for the life of me get the shaft out the hub.
It moves in and out freely just cannot get the clearance to get it away from the hub.

Do you have to remove the whole hub? What is the real method for this.

The discs need changing aswell so should i remove the whole hub so the bearings can be pressed in and out.

technical data program say the driveshaft can be done in 2 hours i've been struggling way longer then that an no joy

Any help greatly appreciated cheers James
