scenic 2 dilema

Hello again, I now have a dilema with my Senic 2, 1.6 vvt , 2004.
I have posted here to ask advice about some front end knocking (this is now minor, could be caliper and drop link!)
It needs four tyres costing about 250.
Now the clutch is slipping and will cost 390 to replace (including slave cylinder).
This all adds up to quite a few quid
The car has 98,000 miles on the clock with full service history and appart from the above is in good clean condition.
04 Scenic with 100k miles value these days (with a good clutch) is under 1000.
Basically how many miles do these generally run for ?
Is it worth spending almost the value of the car on it?
Any advice or input would be much apreciated.
Thanks Jon
