Re: scenic 2 dilema

As Paul, I buy part worns and normally have no issues.

A recent purchases didn't go quite to plan.

Got a couple of tyres fitted on a Ford Ka.
He showed me the tread on both and all looked well so he fit and balanced.
The owner drove it back to work and said it was knocking/thudding when driving.
Had a short run in it and it was. Steering wheel kicking about and felt like driving on a flat tyre.

Tyre was up and nuts were tight. Ran a hand around the tread and it had the biggest flat spot you ever saw. The treads were scuffed over with a ripping effect.

Have a feeling it had been dragged along the road on to a transporter with the wheel locked up.
How the hell he never noticed it or even balanced it is beyond me. Amateurs.
Needless to say, it was quickly rectified.

In other words, take a good look at what you're getting.
