Re: Laguna II. How do you replace the Bonnet Cable ?.

Hi all,

Anyone got any thoughts on this ?.
I went to see my Renault Mechanic today. He is a Genuine Renault guy, who worked on the Lag II's during his time with Renault, so he knows them well.

Now he has his own Mobile mechanic business.
Anyway, after taking a long hard look at it, he recons its a days work, if not more. He is proposing to take the entire dash out to replace the cable.
Since the cable enters the car near the blower motor, right behind my sat nav CD player, it then goes behind the dash, and through the rear of the heater matrix. Then up behind the instrument cluster, and finally down the right hand kickpanel area.

He seems to think its going to be a horrible job.
Thus is considering finding an alternative route for the new cable which i allready have.

Thus it would be very gratefull for anyone that has done this before to give some pointers.

Many thanks,
