thanks for the welcome, and for the reply.
Yes the car was fine, it was left as my son didn't want it and yes it was left outside for the time, which i admit was a mistake. I put a new battery in last week and started first time, running fine.
The car is fine in terms of bodywork, i see your point about rust/corrosion, i will take your advice and give it a good service.
The brakes and suspension will have to be checked via the M.O.T and any othr problems will probably surface.
Thanks for the advice, will keep forum informed about the progress although it may be a slow effort!
