Re: First Timer Repair Project - 2002 Vauxhall Astra SXI
I was thinking about a garage purely to refurbish wheels & spray whilst being under cover - not for storing equipment.
An estate car could be used, but there are disadvantages; cars don't allow for much signwriting opportunities, and it can be a real PITA loading & unloading your boor every day - security would be an issue, otherwise. You are also limited to carrying only the tools that you will definitely use that day - so there will be minimal opportunity to 'upsell' of another repair is noticed on the day.
I can provide a list of tools & equipment that I have - which will explain why I have a large panel van.
In regards to alloy wheel referb, im going to be building a large shed in the garden - with heating, so im able to undergo this type of work at home, but as you said, i think given the differnet types of jobs that are to be done, i think a van would be better, also ive wanted a van for a while lol,
But yeah a list would be great, so as i can get an idea and insite into working tools e.t.c :D!
