Just need to pull the boot out to follow the line of the plastic insert....have a look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean.
I have taken the plastic interior trim off the other side of the boot and there is a hole I can get a hammer in but really don't want to crack the paint....Am just wondering if there is anything that can be done by using a G-Clamp or something so that as I rotate it it slowly pushes the metal back into the correct shape.
I take it we're talking about the kink in the lower right hand side - visible in pics 2 & 4?
A G-clamp and a couple of pieces of wood, sandwiched (or just one on the outside) of the bodywork to protect the paint & act as a guideline for a straight-edge would work. You may have to use a bar on the clamp to exert sufficient force though.
