The gel is put in at manufacture to protect against corrosion. It doesn't cause poor contact itself.
Well, final I can say that this silicon gel was the main cause of all problems. As soon as I have cleaned the connector with silicon solvent, dry it with air compresor and grease it contact spray, all problems gone away....
Also my electrican said as you.... this can not be a problem... but it was!!!!
