Re: Rear light clusters need replacing?? Help please.. :)

Hi, when the fog light indicator comes on when braking or indicating, it's a classic sign that the earth wires of the rear light cluster looms, which are bolted to the bodywork on both sides, aren't making good contact. The solution for this is to remove the plastic boot liner strip (it's held on with 4 Torx screws), and pull back the carpet to reveal the earth connections. Undo the bolts, lightly sand the connector eyes & the bodywork around the bolt holes with fine emery paper & reconnect.

I don't know what's causing the other electrical problems, but it could be that current is feeding back through the earth wires, instead of the bodywork, and this is having weird effects on your electrics.

As for the melted connectors, this usually means a new loom and/or cluster, unless you can get hold of a plug from a second-hand loom...
