Re: Sanding brake discs

Hi Renoir,

Generally there are two kinds of weather here where I live: very hot and dry, or freezing with loads of snow. It generally doesn't rain that much (compared to where I grew up in Scotland anyway ) and when I drive the conditions are almost always dry. The car hasn't been driven that much this winter, and there has been a lot of salt on the roads, but the outer sides of the discs appear fine, so I think I was driving the car often enough to remove the surface rust.

I'll talk the the mechanic when the car is ready and I'll keep an eye on the inner sides of the brake discs over the next few months.

Thanks for the tip about the increased braking power that's something I didn't consider!
