Re: siezed handbrake

car has been taken to garage this morning. RAC came out and disconnected brake cables from calipers and they released immedately so calipers look ok
drove to garage fine when i got there stopped the engine handbrake moyor rewound for a lot longer than normal the message on dashboard came up with parking brake fault
does this sound like the motor has gone or could it be just siezed cables or something else will the message go off once the brakes are fixed or does it have to be reset by renault
