Re: Handbrake cable fitment - Kangoo vs others

I think you'd be better starting with something that fits correctly at the rear and making any mods at the front.
You'll have 2 cables running upto a compensatig bar on the handbrake rod under the van. If the outers fit but the inners won't reach, you might be able to add length to the threaded rod.
If the outers won't reach to sit in their retainers you could use some tube or bolt a homemade bracket between the existing mounting bracket and cable.
Holding the tube / bracket in place is another matter. Can you weld.

Pic1 is my scenic 1.4 2002.
Pic2 is Scenic RX4 2002 which might be more like your set up.
Might still be same cable on both of these though.
Pretty sure it's a similar 2 into 1 set up at the front.
If it helps your cause.

Currently in lancs dave's garage:
Scenic 1.4ish 2002. Clio 1.2 2002. Thunderbird 885 1995, Suzuki Gsx600f 1989. Fazer 600 2002. Specialist cement mixer for proffessionals only, not yer average forum numpty. Your car is probably worth more than all that lot put together.
