Hi Aidy12, sorry no easy fix on these flipping things. There are numerous faults that can cause the error but from what you are saying it sounds very much like the module on yours. When you say manually release the brake, is that using the silly control knob button thing on dashboard or are you fiddling in the boot and releasing using the emergency handle? I could be wrong but once the emergency release has been tampered with it will need resetting by Reno dealer. By the way the unit cost is over 500 plus the VAT and then fitting is on top of that and yet again it I've been told it goes to Reno to be reset. Also there may be other items to go with the unit so expect a bill of a grand!!!! These are the biggest pile of poo I've ever had the displeasure of owning.

Mines in the garage tomorrow but only paying for diagnosis to start with. Theres no way that I'm paying for the unit replacing.
