its a pity there's no reply from anyone. There must be plenty who've done this job. I've done it on a Clio Mk I with drum brakes and on other cars with drums and I always use a puller these days. Mine is Draper, cost about 5, it bolts on to wheel and I needed to buy a second hand 24mm a/f spanner. But its great compared to bits of wood/hammers/screwdrivers that I've used before. It is important to make sure the shoes are clear of the drum. The Haynes manuals are usually good on this point... but maybe you don't have drum brakes?
