Question Key Fix Options

Hey all!

So I got my car back from a garage (Renault Clio II 1998-2005 Sport Edition) with some electrical problems, car is fine but the car key wasn't working, and after a heated argument I just walked out as they said it was like that when it arrived (it wasn't) anyway that's not the issue.

The issue I have now is that the switch has fallen of the circuit board and the battery holding things have snapped (see picuture)

As you can see the little silver box with the black dot should be attached to the circuit board.

Basically should I attempt to fix this myself or is it safer to just bite the bullet and get this replaced for around 180-200.

I am not amazing at soldering but it does not seem that hard?

Advice appreciated!
