Check everything electrical, every button/switch, turn it all on at the same time as well which will load up the alternator. The aircon systems on most Renaults are a weak point to and expensive to fix (expensive on any car, not just Renault). 50k sounds good but double check it's had it's cambelt changed at the correct intervals, they are every 5 years, regardless of mileage which i think is around 120k on that engine, but it will state the interval in the manual/service book. Check how often the oil has been done. My car (53 plate Scenic 1.9Dci) states every 18k but I don't think that's good for the Turbo or engine as a whole so I do the oil and filter every 9k. I think the 3.0dci is one of the better engines fitted to Renaults. Then, check everything electrical works. I know I said it at the start but Renault electrics could be.... erm...... better.
