I ran the wiring up behind the dash to the right hand corner of the windscreen (where I have my tom tom and also a GPS re-radiating antenna cos the reception behind the "thermal" glass was very poor).

No messy wires running across the dash, and no adapter sticking out of the cigarette lighter and hitting passengers knees!

* SNAP * - although 'I' didn't do it Mike_h did!!

It's a great solution, clean tidy and on the bus it fits into one of the opening dash compartments so when you're not using the sat nav the lid is closed, all nicely out of site, when it is in use the lid's open - sweet, just like the massively expensive factory fit job!
