paint damage.,suspected from cardboard packing .

Someone.most likely decided to lean their carboard box full of files/stuff against the convenient ledge formed between my rear wheel arch and the back side window,While they opened the dooror waited for someone to open it.
It looks like cardboard or packing damage to me and its straight up and down.

Either that or someone wearing jeans had an itchy ass and decided to scratch them selves high up on my car.

I washed and polished.
Most of the scuff is gone and the scratches have rounded rather than sharp edges.
You wouldnt see it really now unless you knew it was there.

The thing is there are now small vertical dark lines in the paint/finish.

Im loathe to apply anythingthat might cut the lacquer at all..
Do the little dark lines mean that the metallic particles in the paint have been cut thru?

1. Can it be blended or

2. compounding might only make an odd looking patch of paint
Just suck it up and fit a touch alarm for next time?(preferably with auto taser)

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
