Could be one of two things...

The handbrake switch is not contacting properly or the handbrake doesn't return/stay down properly.


The brake fluid level is low.If this is the case it's usually down to the front pads being worn,although a leaking wheel cylinder/hose would cause the same to happen.

Get it checked asap!

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
