Thanks Noel, I expect I could find fault with every modern engine all caused by emission regs and that computer. They are far too finicky nowadays. My old Merc had done 198760 miles on one engine and never needed anything except plugs, oil and the usual service items. Everyone has warned me off buying a Renault but that cabriolet is just so good looking. Do they have that stupid limp mode like my X type does. It goes into limp mode for no apparent reason. Switch it off and on again and hey presto. No faults.
