Re: The tdc sensor .... or coils?

Hi folks

I've just had this problem of rough running and didn't realise the Megane had a coil for each plug. Reading through all the posts about this problem it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise a coil (or coils ) have failed and as I'm not one of those that the Renault dealer sees comming as 40 - 60 for one would make my eyes water looked on that popular shopping site for a cheaper price.

Got a set of four pencil coils for a total of 41 with a 2 year warranty and they were delivered the next day, a real no brainer. Took 40 mins to fit, fired the engine up and she now purres like a kitten.

I'm now going to order another set of four as spares for when these eventually fail, can't see the point of changing just one together with the hassle of trying to discover which one it is in the first place.
