On a normal 5-door Megane of the same age, yes you can disable the front passenger side airbag via a switch located on the side of the dash on the driver side.
Personally though, I wouldn't really put my 3-month old in the front of the car (but I can understand it's probably less practical to place the 3-month old baby in the rear of a convertible / coupe). I would, maybe hold off on the convertible for a while?
