Re: biodiesel

in my older van i used to run it on sunflower oil when i got the scenic being a high pressure system i looked into bio fuel but found evan though it is meant to be upto spec its not it needs at least 2 more wash's before it could be used or you will have the white (no idea what its called) built up of gunk
a local firm did use it for a while but found the gunk white sediment build up was damaging the engine so they soon went back to normal fuel
if you was to make your own then you could get it spot on and would cost around the 70p mark half the forecourt price
in all stay away from it goto a bio fuel forum and read then read some more they will also have a list of cars tested some have got to 150000 miles and been ok and some have not got far
if you want better mpg and the injection system to last longer 2-stroke oil in the fuel is the thing to do they have used this idea for years on landrovers look that up on the net a very good way to get performance and engine last longer
a very small amount is added to each tank full and has to be mineral not syn
