Obviously you can't simulate the noise by bouncing the front when parked in the drive, or you would have found it by now.
It isn't by any chance a broken engine mount or badly fitted one.
I once bought a Fiat Uno, (which I still have) it had such a horrendous 'clunking noise' it couldn't have been serious! Sounded like the engine was going to fall out. It turned out someone had put a top engine mount plate in 180 degrees out, it was clunking on the body when driving, but stationary you couldn't see it. As I was new to Uno's I couldn't "see it" for a while. I found heaps of other things wrong that some 'mechanic' had done, clearly they weren't quite up with the play. Can't figure it out, they are such simple little cars, and mine, an 84 70s still has a points ignition!~!
