Usual stuff to check;

your passports & driving licence are still valid
your insurance will cover your duration of stay
you have european breakdown cover
medical insurance certificate completed
car has a GB designation, you have hi-viz vests, triangle, breathalyser kit, spare bulbs & fuses, bottle of water & oil , portable tyre inflator.

That should cover the basics.

A decent sat-nav is priceless.
