Re: biodiesel

ok.... small update.

i spoke to a remapper this morning about dpf she said a removal of dpf was not possible on my car as they did not have a remap available.
i then spoke to another remapper about dpf, he said that there is not one fitted on the 2002 dci engine and as such it could not be mapped out. ok then, why does gsf stat that the center exhaust part is a dpf .
phoned my local dealers parts dept (usually very helpful and knowledgable) the dpf were fitted from 2005 (m9r variant dci).
dpf is not a worry now.

bosch common rail , phoned a chap in malvern at a diesel specialists, bosch do not recommend bio above 5% () isnt all city type diesel b7? and im sure morrisons is b7 as stated on the pumps.
anyway, this chap sounded like he was reading the bosch script, apparently bio when compressed at high pressure loses its lubricity and as a result will destroy the injectors and leave deposits on the tips of them? thought bio was a solvent and removed deposits.

will now look into lubricity.

as said earlier the chap sounded like he was reading a script, perhaps he thought i was a bosch spy .

will post again when more info found.
