when you next go to morrisons have a look at where it says diesel on the pump, in small print it will say the max bio that might be in it, i think 7%.
the problem seems to be that few official sources will say yes to 100% bio, probably because no one has tested it fully, especially the car manufacturers. just imagine the recall probs if they had to change 20000 bosch pumps because some bosch tech said 1 failed due to biofuel, cant blame them for playing safe.
as in above posts, bosch specialist says bocsh pumps only will take 5% (the official line!). but loads of people saying its fine at 100%, some claiming 100000 miles ect.
i have a spare pump from my old dci, if i can find a local supplier of bio i might buy 20 litres and rig up a motor drive onto pump, fix the
and injectors to bypass back to a tank and just cycle the pump continuously until it fails, that said it has done 154000 miles already.
hardly scientific but it might prove it to my self.
im like you Adam, just a little worried to upset the procarious balance under the bonnet, cant afford big bills, i have the cam and aux belts to do plus pulleys and water pump still to do (cambelt now in its 6th year and 60000 miles and auxbelt ?? not recorded in history) and knacked springs and shocks on the back to replace at some point..
