Re: my steering wobbles - Clio 2 (2002)
I drive a clio 2, 2002 model. I just recently changed track rods and tie rod ends. before i changed these my car would wobble from left to right (or visa versa) when at a high speed or when hitting brakes. After doing this the steering would go out of alignment, which it would get back into alignment on it out again while driving.
What frustrates me is that I thought changing track rods and tie rod ends would sort out this issue but it doesn't.
Having read other posts trying to find if anyone has had a similar problem, I came to think that this would be coursed by control arm. I'm not sure what to do as Renault car parts in South Africa are very expensive.
try looking at your steering rack mounting bushes, it could be they need replacing and the whole rack is moving!
