Don't think you can on modern cars. There's quite a few posts on this forum discussing whether you need a left or right hand thread tool. I havn't touched any braking components for over 12 years but on my old cars I sometimes resorted to a g-clamp.
I've tried looking at diagrams on the web but I still can't fathom out why a thread-type tool is needed.
Maybe someone on the forum can explain please?
