MY04 Grand Espace 2.0
(petrol - of course), went in a couple of weeks ago for minor warranty work to be told that there was a recall out to replace the gear box and drive shaft.
The dealer couldn't be specific about the problem and apparently it isn't all boxes that are affected, just certain ones. I got the impression there may have been a manufacturing problem on a certain batch.
Fair play to Renault for sorting it out though, 2 day job, loaner Espace provided. Got the car back and everything feels spot-on. They even replaced the master clutch servo whilst it was in because I'd mentioned that the clutch pedal 'occasionally' didn't fully return to the top.
A turbocharger is an exhaust gas-driven compressor used to increase the power output of an internal-combustion engine by compressing air that is entering the engine thus increasing the amount of available oxygen. A key advantage of turbochargers is that they offer a considerable increase in engine power with only a slight increase in weight.
