ABS sensor compatibility

Ive been tasked with fixing my dads ABS on his 2002/3 1.2 16v clio2.

Ive found that the nearside ABS sensor was not plugged in. When I tried to connect it I noticed that both connectors are female which means its got the wrong sensor fitted.

My question is - can the sensors just be swapped over. Ive done some googling and they look different in length and width. (see pics) Has anyone swapped these over or does it mean the hub has to be changed also?

Any help gratefully received.
