Parking brake fault

Hi all I'm new want to say hello to every one. I have a 2004 grand scenic with on dash parking brake fault light. Took it to my local and they put the diag machine on and it came back saying fault code 192 and 182. They said the handbrake switch is faulty and one of the calipers they couldn't say which one cos they are waiting for response from renault. Does this sound normal and can I do it myself as I try to do everything myself first. Like the calipers how can I find out wich one it is? Any help will be much appreciate.
