Megane 1998 Saloon 1.6 Damp Fuse Box?

Please can anyone help?
My Megane is stranded and the RAC cannot fix it only tow it to a Renault dealer, which I am reluctant to do!
The car has been driven in rain before this fault appeared and since being very damp the central locking ,hazards, interior light and immobilizer does not work! So I cannot start the car, it will turn...but will not start due to imob being out of action!

RAC tell me I need a new fuse box.....has anyone got any ideas?

I have had the car for 5years and it has only covered 45k miles and has lots of life left, never involved in any accident and the bodywork is rust free...however I do smell dampness inside.

Any advice would be appreciated...
