I've been checking the mpg on mine a 2.0 Auto over the last month or two. We use it to and from work only a couple of miles all week, and then around and about at the weekends. The average showed around 24mpg. So I then started taking spot readings during various journeys and we would be getting 44mpg when warmed up on a straight road doing 60 mph. It would drop to about 34 mpg around town. What I found was the short journeys to work were 99% on choke and only getting about 20 mpg and doing that 10 times a week there and back knocks the mpg figure right down. I'm now happy the mpg is ok it's just down to the length of jouneys and the road conditions. If there was no one else on the road and I could do all my mileage to and from work in one go my mpg would be great. But in the real world?!!
