I agree with all the advice given but I guess what is giving the op a lot of worry is this statement

I received a txt from Renault Head of customer services in Uk,saying that the work is not guaranteed and the problem might not be solved. He also said the engine can get damaged and I will have to pay Renault for a new engine.

I presume his offer is to pay 60% of 2000, but there's an implication that even after the repair work is done the engine may still not work or more damage may be found requiring the purchase of another engine on top of this bill? It does sound like a game of Russian Roulette and nobody would want to pay a huge bill for an engine that still isn't going to work.

The suggestion of finding another engine is a good one but down in South London (Bromley) even the breakers are charging top dollar for engines so the OP is still facing a mega bill

Like members have said get it fixed and sell it on.
