I think this is why a 'fault-free' engine cannot be guaranteed - the OP has been advised to get all pistons replaced, but is instead electing to only replace the 2 currently showing a fault.

I'm not surprised they cannot guarantee the outcome on that basis, otherwise it would beg the question why they would've initially proposed replacing all 4, if only half that number needed replacing to achieve the same result?

I would suspect either the OP hasn't asked the questions he needs to to gain a true picture, or we are getting a very condensed version of events with some pertinent and crucial facts omitted.
