Another bonnet stuck..
My 99 Megane bonnet release lever is not clicking open the bonnet. There is some tension on the lever which I presume means the cable has not snapped ?
I've taken the inner sill out, and the top of the dash so I can see the cable...but it is shrouded in an outer sleeve so I can't actually see the wire cable itself.
Have chocked the release lever in the 'open' position while I've jumped up and down on the bonnet but that hasn't worked.
I've tried to get my hand in, but can't, nor a screw driver...nor can I get at the catch to spray it.
So...before I go to the garage...what happens if I unscrew the release lever screw..will it go 'boing' and pull the cable through or will I be able to actually access the cable to get some pliers on it and give it a pull ?
Any ideas welcomed. I've read the other threads on this issue but have come to a bit of a dead end.
