Well, we went ahead and bought it! Very pleased so far. It feels like a nice refined drive. Plenty of power when and where you need it, and a nice interior.

I think the oil patch I saw on the road must've been from another car, as there are no signs on the underside of the car. I'm going to keep an eye on it though.

Funnily enough we've had a low oil warning on the dash once since we got it, and the dash test indicates the oil level is 3/6. However the dipstick reads fine - near the top of the acceptable level, so I'm not too worried.
a. Im a little paranoid about overfilling..with the warning stickers n turbo

b. Mine does burn/use a little oil between services.

c. Testing on a level surface.
At halfway on the dipstick the oil test shows 5/6.
At 3/4 full on the dipstick it shows 6/6.

Different car different engine I know , but still no harm to check again.
When did the oil light come on btw? was it at cold start or hot idling in traffic or maybe going round a corner?. Servicing history all good n up to date?

RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
