Trouble is with the labour rates as they are,it is cheaper to throw away old parts and replace them with new rather than repair or rebuild them.'Tis a throw away society,for sure....I was lucky(or not as the case maybe...) as I carried out my apprenticeship in the late 80's/early nineties,so I have been part of both schools of thought.I do despair at the training that is given nowadays,as it isn't anywhere near as intense as when I did mine.......
