I am new to the forum, my other half has a Renault 207cc 58reg , she has constant issues with the main headlight beam blubs blowing. They have both blown a number of times in the last year, latley we had to change these bulbs twice in a week. Can anyone advise how this can be resolved as her MOT is due very shortly
There are a number of reasons for repeated bulb failure.
1. Poor quality or incorrect bulbs.
2. The bulbs or bulb holders vibrate causing their filament to break - for instance loose or broken headlight mountings.
3. In correct voltage or voltage spikes.
4. A faulty switch or relay serving the bulbs.
5. Damp getting into the light or bulb socket.
