Never done it but you will find there will be at least 2 the ECU compares the two and decides if it as a fault,
I got one for the DCi80 from this seller he had quite a few may have one for yours.
The lever from the pedal goes into a unit with a plug on top they are in that unit unless yours is different to the ones I have changed, or are you thinking of just changing the completed unit as I have done? as opposed to striping the unit and actually replacing the pots inside, if so the ones I have changed have been on a DCI and it was just a straight swap.
Yeh I am thinking straight swap for a new unit rather than repairing.
I have traced cable over to a black unit next to suspension strut in engine bay. Does this sound familiar?
On more modern vehicles, possibly the dci it seems to be on the pedal it's self rather than in engine bay.
The ones I have seen are the self contained one and one fitted to the bulk head with a short cable, so wile it sounds about right I don't know for sure.
