renault trafic wiper stalk problem

The intermitant wiper setting wont work unless i push the stalk forward a little.....Do i need to get a whole new stalk..a bit annoying....If so is it easily replaced.....or is it a different problem.......

You could take the steering cowlings off and spray some contact cleaner into the switch, may give you a bit more grace untill the inevitable.

Hi adrian 123. i have exactly the same problem(including when you push it away intermittent wipe starts working again.) on my 2007 trafic. i was wondering if you had found a solution? any tips would be much appreciated.

dunno how i missed this post five minutes ago... Having the same problem with the gentle push also being the solution. I will take a look at the contacts and hope for the best as PSV just around the corner. Does anyone have any other ideas that dont involve stalk replacement or should i stop being a stingey git and just go and buy a new one lol.

I have the exact same problem. Did anyone manage to resolve this without having to buy a new stalk?
