Ride Height Level Sensor

Hi,

while under my '04 Laguna Initiale the other day I noticed a small electrical part with an arm coming from it, attached to the chassis rail of the car on the near side, close to the rear axle.

I have now determined that this is the rear ride height level sensor and that it should somehow be attached to the rear axle.

I can see a welded tab on the axle with a hole through it but the sensor seems to be missing a part as the small arm that moves up and down does not seem to reach this tab.

On the end of this arm there likes like what used to be a ball joint, highly corroded.

I have read another thread on this forum where someone has suggested making a repair using modelling parts, this I can do but first I would really appreciate it if one of you Laguna owners out there could please forward me a few photographs of the fully working and in situe sensor so I could easily see what is missing.

Kind regards..,

MT

Re: Ride Height Level Sensor

Sorry for the delay I have only just been able to take the photos today.

The plastic arm is around 90 - 95mm long and is adjustable with a ball and socket at either end. I would imagine it's around the size they use on radio controled model helicopters. The tie wrap has been put on to stop the lower ball joint poping apart.

Re: Ride Height Level Sensor

Great thanks for the images.

I can see now that I have the arm missing that comes from the axle to the plastic lever arm on the sensor.

From the images and description you gave I can now sort it out.

Once again, thanks a lot for the help.

Kind regards..,
