Re: espace 2.2 dci

The reason for the increase in power is probably that the engine management system is detecting the problem and then ignoring or disabling the faulty component, restoring normal performance.

The best way forward is to start by having the fault codes read by a good independent or dealer, and then carry out further tests to find the exact cause of the problem.

Regarding the slight misfire, the best starting point is a relative compression test. If that is ok you're probably looking at an injector or software fault.

Re: espace 2.2 dci

Hi you may have a faulty airflow meter this tends to cause similar symptoms
Could also be injectors leaking internally sending too much fuel back to the pump
Could also be egr clogged

A said get it on a computer but get a print of any codes and what the computer says then clear them and see what codes come back
