Where is the Fusebox!?

Hi,

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place or anything, im new!

I couldnt find an answer to this in the other sections so i figured i would ask.

I dont pretend to know anything about cars, its somethign i want to learn about, but dont really have the time. Never the less, i bought a megane II.. i was impressed with it, that said i havent had it 6 months yet and already i have had a few problems.

The most recent of which is that the passenger window stopped opening. Due to my own apathy i figured "Hey! its still up i'll deal with it when i can be bothered" However, i got a kick in the pants this morning as while at the gym the window fell and now will not open.

The window stopped opening at about the same time as my passenger side headlight blew, so hopefully it isnt too much of a stretch to guess that this was possibly related?

I just figured checking the fuses might be a good place to start before i go and get fixed what could be a potentially expensive thing.

Any help would be greatly recieved!

Thanks,

EDIT - Found it! there was another post that showed up when i googled, turns out i wasnt using the correct words! Thanks all the same!

Re: Where is the Fusebox!?

Hi, glad you found the fuse box.

Not sure if the window and headlamp fuses would be the same or not, but the one for the headlamp (one each side) is in the fusebox under the bonnet - not the easiest to access but these few fuses can be got to by removing a cover and then using a long nose plier

Re: Where is the Fusebox!?

thanks for the reply.

I just ran out and opened the fuse box, from what the pictures say, they arent related at all! both fuses that control the windows are intact (as best i can see) and there seems to be no relation to the headlight. it just seemed a bit coincidental that they should both go wrong in such a small time-frame.

Looks like im going to have to remove the door panel - Awesome...

Re: Where is the Fusebox!?

Did the window jus drop by itself? It might be the motor cable snapped or something. You can get repair kits for them off ebay which is supposed to be cheaper than buying another motor, but whether they work or not I've no idea

Re: Where is the Fusebox!?

Yep best idea is to get the door panel off and have a look at the cables! Is the window now up or down?
